25 years protecting the organisations that others depend on
Ali Zeb is an Executive Cyber Security Advisor and board-level executive with over 25 years of experience safeguarding critical information assets across FTSE 100 corporations, global financial institutions, regulated industries, and government bodies. As founder of Arthur J. Goldman Consultants, he guides financial services, fintech, and blockchain enterprises through secure digital transformation, bridging cybersecurity strategy, AI governance, and blockchain assurance, ensuring innovation aligns with GDPR, DORA, FCA, NIST, and ISO 27001 compliance.
His executive career spans CISO, DPO, and senior leadership appointments at MS Amlin (Group CISO and Group DPO, Lloyd's market insurer), British Land (CISO and Data Protection Advisor, FTSE 100), Suntory Group (Director of Cybersecurity Strategy and Transformation), and Xoserve (Director of Cybersecurity Strategy and Transformation and DPO, National Grid). At Planet Payment, he was appointed Group CISO directly by Advent International to lead security transformation across the newly consolidated Planet Group, successfully transforming the security posture from CMM level 1 to 3.5 across six global entities.
Alongside his executive career, Ali formerly held advisory appointments at the FCA, NCSC, and Lloyds of London Market Cyber Risk Committee, and previously served on the EC-Council Global Advisory Board and InfoSecurity Europe Advisory Council. He is a featured speaker at the Computing Cyber Security Strategy Briefing and CISO 360 Congress, Lisbon.
He holds an MSc in Computer Networks from Middlesex University, a BEng with Honours in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Kingston University, and has completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
"Many companies go wrong: they build a security function and think it should be able to deal with everything. It always helps to break it down into a strategic function and a technical function."

This is not a career CISO seeking a board title. It is a practitioner already operating at the governance layer, with established credibility in the institutions and the boardrooms where cyber risk governance is being defined.
